How long does it take to complete the pencil portrait?

Please allow 2 weeks from requesting the portrait to receiving the completed drawing. However, if you require the portrait sooner than this, please contact me as it may still be possible.

How do I send my photograph?

You can either email me your photo or send in the post

Will my portrait drawing be shown on your website?

Ideally I would like to include all my commissioned portraits on my website. However, if for any reason you would rather your portrait was not included, then you just have to tell me and it will not be shown.

What happens to my photo once the portrait is completed?

Any photo's that have been sent to me will be returned with your completed portrait.

What kind of paper do you use?

Portraits are drawn on white 160gm2 acid free paper.

Are the portraits treated?

All portraits are treated with a fixative to prevent smudging.

What size will my portrait be?

My usual way of working is to view the photo and decide which size best suits the drawing (typically A4 or A3). However, if you have a specific size that you would like your drawing to be, then let me know and this can be accomodated.

Will my portrait be mounted?

All portraits are provided with a high quality mount at no extra cost.

Will my portrait be framed?

The completed portraits are not framed as standard. However, if you would like your portrait framed, this can be arranged. If so, once the portrait is completed, I will email you examples of frames and a price list.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a pencil portrait is £75. This price is for a single subject, A4 or A3 size (since my usual way of working is to view the photo and decide which size best suits the drawing, I charge the same price for both). This price includes both a high quality mount and postage and packaging. If you would like more than one subject in the portrait or the portrait to be larger than A3 size, then there will be an appropriate increase in price. All prices would be agreed upon prior to me commencing the portrait and as with all my portraits, you are under no obligation to buy unless you are 100% happy with the portrait.

Is a deposit required?

No. Once the portrait is completed you will be sent an email with an electronic version to preview. Once you are happy with it, I will require full payment before sending you the portrait.

How do I pay for my portrait?

The easiest way to pay is via Pay Pal. You can also pay by cheque (but this must clear before the portrait is sent).

Can I get a refund if I'm not happy with it?

In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your portrait, please return within 10 days and you will receive a full refund.

How will I receive my portrait?

All portraits are sent in protective packaging to ensure they are not damaged in transit. Portraits are packaged flat (not rolled up). For UK customers, portraits are sent via Royal Mail in first class recorded delivery which will require a signature on delivery.

Do you take orders from overseas?

Yes, overseas orders are welcome but please contact me first for an estimated delivery charge.
